Firefox 2.0.0.6 Security Update

As part of Mozilla Corporation’s ongoing stability and security update process, Firefox 2.0.0.6 is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux for free download from http://getfirefox.com.

Due to the security fixes, we strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release.

If you already have Firefox 2.0.0.x, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours. This update can also be applied manually by selecting “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu starting now.

If you are still running Firefox 1.5.0.x, you are highly encouraged to upgrade to the Firefox 2 series as Mozilla ceased supporting Firefox 1.5.0.x in May 2007. Simply choose “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu to begin the upgrade process.

The following security issues were fixed.

Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Support:

Firefox 2.0.0.8 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5, although there are some known issues affecting some media plugins.

New Languages:

Official releases for Georgian (ka) and Romanian (ro) are now available. Beta release for Kurdish (ku) is also available for testing.

there are some random crashing issues with the browser. not a big problem though since u can choose to reopen ur tabs after it crashes.

for those who can't take it better stay with firefox 2.
