Rain fail to see - Car Crashes On Highway

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eREuZtD5_A4Why you shouldn't speed and be EXTRA careful while driving in the rain.
saw it via :
http://www.facebook.com/Burnpavementthe car reacted about 3 odd seconds before impact.
now, if going via the 2 second rule. that's plenty.
what went wrong?
It was probably traveling at a speed faster than the eye could see and the car could react. The input to brake n to swerve right is done, but as the road condition was wet, and the tyres probably would be regular (not extreme wet weather) type, all adds to contribute to this.
looking back, the 2 second rule is only good for moving traffic. it's taking into account the vehicle in front will take some distance to stop. unlike the situation whereby a stationary object is in the path.
In dry, optimum conditions, that car probably could have avoided. plus the added distance one would have been able to spot would have given more buffer.
in this case, this guy probably would have required in excess of 5 second to avoid. i would say at least 7 at that speed it was going.
