I know how to torture you - cut you off completely from all forms of technology. I think you will kill yourself after the 5th hour... hehehehe...
When i went to Japan, and my phone din't work (cos it's not 3G) my stress and anxiety level went up +++  Smiley

as for oil slicks, yes i agree. once you get oil on your wheels... assume the crash position and kiss your ass goodbye...

=======================

some stats.

ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

Do you know…

that there were 11 fatal or injury accidents for every 1,000 registered vehicles in 2000? The total number of accidents that led to fatalities or injuries decreased over the last two decades, from 9,067 in 1984 to 7,228 last year. This was despite a rapid growth in the total vehicle population from 485,396 in 1984 to 684,287 in 2000. Consequently, the fatal or injury accident rate fell from 19 per 1,000 registered vehicles in 1984 to 11 per 1,000 registered vehicles in 2000.

The involvement of buses in road traffic accidents had declined significantly. In 2000, 41 out of every 1,000 registered buses were involved in fatal or injury accidents, a fall from 139 per 1,000 in 1984. However, throughout the period, buses maintained the highest incidence of accidents among all vehicle types.

Among the other passenger-carrying vehicles, motorcycles registered the second highest accident involvement rate. In comparison, the incidence of accidents was relatively low among motor cars, which include taxis, school taxis and private hire cars.

The involvement of heavy goods vehicles in road traffic accidents remained low and stable for most years but increased in recent years.

The road was littered with toys and baby stuff shortly after this car crashed into a railing and overturned in Balestier Road at about 1.40am today (28 August).

STOMPer Babyweed saw someone crawl back to the car to retrieve a bag and then leave the scene with three other men.

"I believe the car crashed against the rail and overturned in the middle lane," the STOMPer said in an email today.

"A child safety car seat could be seen in the boot together with many items in plastic bags.

"There were also toys and a child’s swimming ring littered around the road. I think this car was most likely a family car.

"After the crash, a man was seen crawling back underneath the car to retrieve a bag.

"He left the scene shortly afterwards with a group of three other men along Jalan Kebun Limau. By the time the paramedics arrived, there was nobody at the accident scene anymore."

STOMP contacted the Police which confirmed that it received a call about the accident at 1.50am. Police said no one was hurt.

hit & run...
or more like a crash & run.
why these people run away from the scene? maybe there is something illegal? maybe there are some contraband in the bag? stolen car?

HOLLYWOOD - The 22-year-old passenger hurt in the car crash involving wrestler Hulk Hogan's son Nick will need to be cared for in a nursing home for the rest of his life.

U.S. Marine John Graziano was critically injured in the crash in Florida in August. His skull was broken at the base, he experienced brain swelling and a large amount of blood collected under the skull.

Court documents reveal he is still on life support--he can only manage to open and close his eyes and his condition is unlikely to improve.

A report was filed by registered nurse Joanne Jones, who was hired by the court to examine Graziano's condition. She claims he has a gag reflex and can respond to being pinched, but has no reaction to sound or touch and his pupils do not respond to light.

Her report, detailing the findings of Graziano's doctor H. Bushnell Clarke, reads, "At this present time, he states his prognosis remains guarded. He states that this young man most likely will spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home."

If 17-year-old Hogan was found to be speeding when he crashed, he could be held criminally responsible for Graziano's injuries.

Manager Zack said his 23-year-old nephew swerved to avoid hitting a dog that was dashing across the road. The brand new Chevrolet hit a tree and turned turtle, and everything went blank for him.

The STOMPer said this happened at about 8am on a rainy Sunday morning (Dec 9) along Coastal Road towards Changi Airport.

"My nephew could not remember anything after he swerved. He was lying half-conscious in the car. He vaguely remember seeing people wearing cycling helmets pulling him out," Zack told STOMP today (Dec 10).

Zack, 48, gathered that some people who were cycling on the path to the right of the road must have come to his nephew's assistance.

"An ambulance brought him to hospital. He was given outpatient treatment - he only suffered a swollen right leg and thumb.

"He's one lucky guy. Not only was he slightly hurt, he did not hit anyone. I guess the tree took the full impact. And the tree is still standing strong," Zack said.

"The car airbags apparently saved his life!"

SLOW DOWN.

drive safe.

Rainy night, took a turn a little too fast in a parking lot and hydroplaned into the brick wall side of a circuit city.
