6 including pregnant woman killed in 2 accidents (http://www.asiaone.com/a1media/news/10Oct08/images/20081013.212335_crash.jpg) KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: Six people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in two separate accidents in Mont Kiara and Klang early yesterday.The first incident happened about 2.30am at Km4.5 of the Kerinchi Link highway when three friends -- Lim Chee Wee, 27, Ee Boon Wah, 24, and his wife, Sin Liang Min, 23, who was expecting -- were travelling from Sri Hartamas towards Petaling Jaya.City traffic police chief Assistant Commissioner Abd Wahab Abd Rahman said Lim, who was driving the Honda Civic, lost control of the car after overtaking another vehicle."The car rammed into three trees by the side of the highway, killing the driver and the front seat passenger on the spot," said Abd Wahab."Sin was rushed to University Malaya Medical Centre but succumbed to severe head and bodily injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital."Firemen spent about 30 minutes extricating the bodies of Lim and Ee from the wreckage.Both bodies were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem, while Sin's body was sent to UMMC mortuary.The bodies were claimed by relatives later yesterday.In the second incident about 7am at Km24 of Jalan Klang -Kuala Selangor, three friends were killed while another is fighting for his life when their car burst into flames after crashing into a concrete embarkment.The four men -- Mohd Yusof Kamaruddin, 37, Md Rani Jantan, 54, Mohd Khairi Zakaria, 26, and Mohd Zamri Bukhari, 35, -- were travelling towards Kuala Selangor in a downpour when Yuso, who was driving, lost control of the Proton Iswara.The car hit a concrete embankment at the side of the road, causing Yusof to be flung out of the car. STOMPer Ding Hao witnessed this horrifying accident at Sentosa Cove, in which a Mercedes C-Class car crashed into a tree at Sentosa Cove and flipped over.In the STOMPer’s email to STOMP today (Oct 14), the STOMPer wrote:“A Mercedes C-Class car crashed outside a row of houses in Sentosa Cove.“It happened to crash into a tree and subsequently flipped over onto its back.“The driver escaped with a minor injury on the hand but was otherwise alright.“Sentosa Cove staff had to control the traffic problems caused by the accident.”

The two, identified as Mr Kerk Teck Guan, a car salesman, and Mr Ng Wei Liang, both 26, suffered severe multiple injuries and were rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where they were pronounced dead at 1 am. He was supposed to have picked up his car from the workshop on Monday.Mr Kerk leaves behind a wife, and Mr Ng a wife and a five-year-old daughter.

He emerged from a coma and was discharged from hospital in April.'He does not remember the accident or what he was doing before it,' Senior Staff Sergeant Tan Chee Sing told the court.He added that Mr Muhammad Alif now thought and behaved like a child.The court heard that the driver, Mr Asokan, was also the designated chauffeur for a wedding the four were preparing for later that day. The car was entrusted to him by the bride's aunt.Little else is known about the accident.For instance, it could not be determined where in the car the other three had been seated because, unbelted, they were all flung out on impact.The windows had been wound down and the rear windscreen, smashed.At about 2am that day, the four were travelling from the Adam Road Food Centre to Mustafa Centre in Little India to buy wedding decorations.When they reached the junction of Dunearn Road and Chancery Lane, Mr Asokan overtook a stationary taxi and beat a red light, court papers said.In his police statement, taxi driver Chia Choon Khiang, 53, the only witness to the accident, estimated that the Hyundai car had blown past him at between 160kmh and 170kmh.Mr Chia, who was in the second lane from the left, was not ferrying passengers at the time and no other cars were on the road.The court heard that after the Hyundai overtook him and ran the traffic lights, it swerved to the extreme left lane, skidded to the right, hit the kerb, ploughed into a tree and then into thick bushes lining the canal separating Bukit Timah and Dunearn roads.A toxicology report showed that Mr Asokan's blood had 45mg per 100ml of ethanol - below the legal limit of 80mg per 100ml.State Coroner Victor Yeo asked for a clarification on the presence of ethanol in Mr Asokan's blood from the Health Sciences Authority and the police statement given by the bride's aunt.He will deliver his findings on Nov 13.sujint@sph.com.sg (http://www.straitstimes.com/STI/STIMEDIA/image/20081022/front-sjcrash23.jpg)
Hi all, Incident occurred shortly before 4pm this afternoon. I didn't see the incident first hand, but I heard the collision from my house window. The collision involved a Toyota MR-S and a Honda Stream. A driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer lost control and smashed his vehicle into a tree along Bedok North Road near PIEA DRIVER, who slammed his black Mitsubishi Lancer into a tree along Bedok North Road at around 11am, had to be extricated from his car by the Singapore Civil Defence Force on Friday morning.He suffered head injuries and multiple cuts on his legs.The driver was found to be in a drowsy state when SCDF personnel arrived, and was taken to Changi General Hospital by noon.The car was badly damaged. The driver's side of the car had been completely smashed in.Its bumper was torn off and the windscreen was completely shattered, with half of it lying in a nearby ditch along with a licence plate and a rearview mirror.The driver was said to have been alone at the time of the accident
