DZ101A new generation high performance tyre specifically designed for sports sedans is being introduced by Dunlop New Zealand. The Direzza DZ101 follows on from the very popular Formula FM 901 to deliver better dry and wet handling, lower noise, and more even wear on to keep the tyre looking good throughout its life.
“Tyre technology is steadily evolving and this tyre incorporates the very latest knowledge about tread design, compound chemistry and tyre construction,” Wayne Johnston, general manager of sales and marketing for Dunlop said.
“The improvements in this tyre are significant, including a more rigid casing, new low noise tread pattern, better resistance to aquaplaning and sharper handling.
“A new silica tread compound delivers four percent shorter braking distances on both wet and dry roads when compared with the FM 901 and five percent better cornering wet grip.
“We are introducing 37 tyres covering wheel sizes from 14 inch to 19 inch with a span of profiles from 60 to 30 series,” he said.[/quote]
