6 including pregnant woman killed in 2 accidents KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: Six people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in two separate accidents in Mont Kiara and Klang early yesterday. The first incident happened about 2.30am at Km4.5 of the Kerinchi Link highway when three friends -- Lim Chee Wee, 27, Ee Boon Wah, 24, and his wife, Sin Liang Min, 23, who was expecting -- were travelling from Sri Hartamas towards Petaling Jaya. City traffic police chief Assistant Commissioner Abd Wahab Abd Rahman said Lim, who was driving the Honda Civic, lost control of the car after overtaking another vehicle. "The car rammed into three trees by the side of the highway, killing the driver and the front seat passenger on the spot," said Abd Wahab. "Sin was rushed to University Malaya Medical Centre but succumbed to severe head and bodily injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital." Firemen spent about 30 minutes extricating the bodies of Lim and Ee from the wreckage. Both bodies were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem, while Sin's body was sent to UMMC mortuary. The bodies were claimed by relatives later yesterday. In the second incident about 7am at Km24 of Jalan Klang -Kuala Selangor, three friends were killed while another is fighting for his life when their car burst into flames after crashing into a concrete embarkment. The four men -- Mohd Yusof Kamaruddin, 37, Md Rani Jantan, 54, Mohd Khairi Zakaria, 26, and Mohd Zamri Bukhari, 35, -- were travelling towards Kuala Selangor in a downpour when Yuso, who was driving, lost control of the Proton Iswara. The car hit a concrete embankment at the side of the road, causing Yusof to be flung out of the car. He was killed on the spot. The vehicle then burst into flames, trapping the three passengers inside. Khairi and Zamri, who were seated in the back seat, were burnt to death while Rani was pulled to safety by passing motorists after several minutes. It was learned that he was in critical condition at the Tanjung Karang Hospital with 50 per cent burns on his body. The bodies of the other three were taken to the same hospital and were later claimed by relatives. http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Malaysia/Story/A1Story20081013-93467.html via : http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=339051

TWO buddies who were heading back after a late night supper died in a horrific car crash along Guillemard Road on Thursday night.
Their car skidded near Wing Fong Mansion, a condominium off Lorongs 14 and 12 Geylang at 11.45 pm and hit a tree. The impact of the crash split the car into two, throwing the front and back portions almost three metres apart.
The two, identified as Mr Kerk Teck Guan, a car salesman, and Mr Ng Wei Liang, a sales executive at Courts, both 26, suffered severe multiple injuries and were rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where they were pronounced dead at 1 am.
They were close friends who had known each other for more than 10 years, since their school days.
The red Subaru WRX was the leading car in a convoy of three that was heading back from supper on Thursday night.
According to friends in the cars behind who witnessed the accident, Mr Kern had swerved to avoid hitting a cyclist and ended up crashing the car into a tree.
The car enthusiast, whom friends described as someone who loved cars so much he didn't mind spending money to spruce up his car, had bought the Subaru WRX just over two years ago.
His friend, Mr Ng also drove a Subaru WRX, but had taken a lift from Mr Kern that night as his car was in the workshop after an accident three weeks ago. He was supposed to have picked up his car from the workshop on Monday.
Mr Kerk leaves behind a wife, and Mr Ng a wife and a five-year-old daughter. via : http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=2131263

Three men killed in accident on Dunearn Road By Wong Siew Ying, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 10 February 2008 1610 hrs
SINGAPORE: An accident on Dunearn Road early Sunday morning left three men in a rental car dead and one seriously injured.
The rental car was going on the extreme left lane of Dunearn Road, heading towards Newton Circus.
But at around 2.20am, the driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle after the Dunearn Road/Chancery Lane junction.
It then hit a kerb and a tree before landing in the bushes nearby.
Police said all four occupants of the car were flung out of the vehicle.
Two of them, both aged 23, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 26-year-old driver and another 19-year-old passenger were found unconscious and in critical condition. They were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where the driver later died.

All four were in a rental car on their way to get decorations to turn the Hyundai Avante they were in into a wedding car when it crashed along Dunearn Road, near Chancery Court, at 2.20 am on Sunday.
The impact of the crash threw all four out of the car.
The sole survivor, Mr Mohammad Alif Mohamed Shah, 19, was fighting for his life on Sunday night, as his family members kept vigil at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Two of them, Mr Mohammad Khalil Mohamad Shah, 23, elder brother of Mr Mohammad Alif, and Mr Sunthereswaran Nadesan Mariyappan, 23, died on the spot.
The third casualty, Mr Jaya Kumar Asokan, 27, a bus driver, who was also admitted to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, died of severe injuries within 12 hours of the accident.
He was believed to have been the driver of the silver Hyundai Avante, a 1.6-litre car.
The four were on their way to Mustafa Centre in Little India. Survivor can't recall crash Driver identified in inquiry, but brain-damaged sole survivor cannot recall accident http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_293835.html MANY questions about the circumstances of a Feb 10 car crash which killed three men will remain unanswered because the brain-damaged sole survivor cannot remember a thing. But the one certainty which emerged from the coroner's inquiry yesterday was which man among the four was at the wheel of the Hyundai Avante. From a pair of slippers stuck under the brake pedal since identified by his family, it was clear that Mr Jayakumar Asokan, 26, was driving the car along Dunearn Road that morning. He died less than 12 hours after the crash that instantly killed Mr Mohammad Khalil Mohamed Shah and Mr Sunthereswaran Nadesan Mariyappan, both 23. The court heard that the sole surivor, Mr Muhammad Alif Mohamed Shah, the 19-year-old younger brother of Mr Mohammad Khalil, suffered head injuries. He emerged from a coma and was discharged from hospital in April. 'He does not remember the accident or what he was doing before it,' Senior Staff Sergeant Tan Chee Sing told the court. He added that Mr Muhammad Alif now thought and behaved like a child. The court heard that the driver, Mr Asokan, was also the designated chauffeur for a wedding the four were preparing for later that day. The car was entrusted to him by the bride's aunt. Little else is known about the accident. For instance, it could not be determined where in the car the other three had been seated because, unbelted, they were all flung out on impact. The windows had been wound down and the rear windscreen, smashed. At about 2am that day, the four were travelling from the Adam Road Food Centre to Mustafa Centre in Little India to buy wedding decorations. When they reached the junction of Dunearn Road and Chancery Lane, Mr Asokan overtook a stationary taxi and beat a red light, court papers said. In his police statement, taxi driver Chia Choon Khiang, 53, the only witness to the accident, estimated that the Hyundai car had blown past him at between 160kmh and 170kmh. Mr Chia, who was in the second lane from the left, was not ferrying passengers at the time and no other cars were on the road. The court heard that after the Hyundai overtook him and ran the traffic lights, it swerved to the extreme left lane, skidded to the right, hit the kerb, ploughed into a tree and then into thick bushes lining the canal separating Bukit Timah and Dunearn roads. A toxicology report showed that Mr Asokan's blood had 45mg per 100ml of ethanol - below the legal limit of 80mg per 100ml. State Coroner Victor Yeo asked for a clarification on the presence of ethanol in Mr Asokan's blood from the Health Sciences Authority and the police statement given by the bride's aunt. He will deliver his findings on Nov 13. sujint@sph.com.sg via : http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=2137216please, slow down. slow down. slow down. drive safe. z.

Hi all, Incident occurred shortly before 4pm this afternoon. I didn't see the incident first hand, but I heard the collision from my house window. The collision involved a Toyota MR-S and a Honda Stream. I was only able to go downstairs at around 5pm, and by then, the Civil Defence people were already gone. via : http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=428507================== looks like both parties walked away. that's good. the crash structure worked as designed. drive safe.

This happen to my dad mid this year @ NS highway near 139.7km.. area where a family in their mitsubishi grandis mpv perished and only a baby survived... thats the chinese guy with the cap..beware of him!! notice the background of the picture u can see the tree broke.. side and front airbag deployed rear trail arm jus broke upon impact.. it was raining and he was alone travelling to kl, travelling on first lane.. a flat bed is parked at the shoulder and suddenly it swerved all the way to the first lane, slammed his brakes and skidded to the grass, hit a tree at e driver side. and brakes couldn work so tried to direct the skidded car down the huge drain... we suspect it is a touting incident cos 5mins after the incident, a tow truck came with (the heavily tatooed chinese guy in blueyellow shirt and white/red cap and a few other malays).. he insisted to tow my dad car for a fee of RM13,000, and said no one can tow/touch the car except him..quite rude.. but he ignored them and called another tow company and his fren in malaysia to help den the chinese guy left.. upon inspection of the road, there is oil spilage where he skidded...so most prob is $$ seekers and live ignorers.. just beware when driving at NS highway..this ppl does not care about ppls live... dad was lucky to walk away to have minor glass shard cuts only...
